Addie, Belle, two of Addie's friends and I are at the midnight showing of the latest "Harry Potter" offering. This place is a zoo!
Obviously, I'm in no position to be objective (seeing as how I'm sitting on the dirty floor of a movie theatre lobby) but I'm curious to know your nuggets of wisdom as to why people go to midnight shows.
Did I mention that we're three hours early? I think we're kind of crazy :)
Originally, this blog was intended to be my take on life, a way to write regularly, and so forth. I'd like to move it in a different direction a bit, using my own lens to contemplate stuff going on in the world. Please comment ... I love conversations!!!!

The only midnight showing I ever went to was 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'...but that was kind of the point. It's not exactly a matinee-type movie.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the midnight thing too. I do it because I am so terribly impatient. I have loved the Harry Potter books for years and I am anxious to see the film adaptation.
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh, lucky you! Well ... except for the part about sitting on the dirty movie theatre floor! I can't wait to see the movie! You'll have to post about how it was!
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't get me to go to a midnight show, because I simply don't care enough to be quite frank. I will wait for it to be in the theatres forever and go at some obscure time when nobody is there or wait for DVD. It's not as if Hollywood is making some fantastic movies these days for me to warrant even spending 15 bucks to go.
ReplyDeleteI went to the midnight showing, too! :) Did you like the movie?
