The World of Blogging

There are so many blogs out there now, not to mention websites and social gathering places like Facebook and MySpace. Does anybody actually read any of them?

If so, is it because they actually know the (I have to use the word here) author? Is there something about what they see that they relate to? Do they read one post and say, "Wow, that chick's a real freak. I'll move on to something else"?

But it makes me wonder if anybody gives the slightest rat's derriere about the person behind a given blog or even what they have to say. What exactly is the point? Are bloggers just writing for their own gratification? And if so, is there anything wrong with that?

  1. Having consumed this blog back to front (and sometimes front to back again), I feel the need to comment on so much of it, but where to start? OK.I am a word junkie. I feel the NEED to read. Even if i don't know/care about what's being written, I HAVE to finish it. That being said I enjoy/find most interesting things I either TRULY identify with or completely DO NOT understand. I find human nature fascinating on every level. On this blog I have found ALOT to identify with and commenting on your posts will certainly keep me busy. I care about you/what you write without KNOWING the real you in person because I find you interesting and you in turn actually have the ability to write some of my thoughts/make me question, without having the faintest idea who the hell I am!??In my personal opinion, I feel that by reading the words of others, I not only learn about them but more about myself. Make sense?Nothing wrong with that, I guess??

  3. Thanks so much for being here : ) I'm really excited about finding out what different people have to say about various things.

When you wrote, "I feel that by reading the words of others, I not only learn about them but more about myself," I was quite excited. That's what I want this blog to be : )

I can't wait to read your comments : ) (and this isn't English class, no worries about structure)!

However must catch some ZZZ's as it is v. late here on my side of the globe.
Will be back tomorrow for some more education...
Apologies in advance for my garbled musings as I'm not due back to the real word of work until Wednesday now.
    Night : )
