Blogging About Life: Hard or Necessary?

One of my students, a gifted young lady with great writing talent and a true passion for picking up on the philosophy in the everyday mundaneness of life, wants to start a blog about the minutiae of what she sees around her every day.

Does anybody have any suggestions for her?  I'm sending her the link to this post, so she will definitely be reading your comments.

Thank you in advance <3 nbsp="nbsp">

  1. One of the bloggers I follow, Ella's Edge, does something similar. I think if she took a look at how Ella posts, it would give her an idea what direction she wants to go with her blog. You can Google the blog name or find it in my sidebar.

  2. I'm afraid I don't really have any advice but I wish her luck in it.

  3. I think a lot of bloggers do that and those are usually my favorite kinds of posts.

  4. My only suggestion would be to vary the tone - some blogs become relentlessly preachy, or depressing, or silly, and then I lose interest. I love variety and lots of different angles and viewpoints.
